Mission Moves: Real Estate that Gives Back

I believe when you have an opportunity to give something back, you should. Mission Moves is one way I’ve chosen to do that.
Through family, friends, and years of federal service working alongside military personnel, I’ve had the opportunity to see firsthand the commitment that comes with military service and the sacrifices made not only by those who serve, but by their families as well. Those relationships and experiences have given me a deep respect and appreciation for the military community.
Mission Moves puts that appreciation into action. For every closed real estate transaction, I personally donate an amount equal to 10% of my net commission to a qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit supporting veterans, active-duty service members, and their families.
There is no additional cost to my clients for Mission Moves. The donation is made personally by me after closing, not by eXp Realty, and is not offered to the client as a rebate, discount, credit, or financial inducement.
Whether your next transaction is residential, commercial, or an investment, Mission Moves gives it an opportunity to mean something more.
How It Works
After your transaction closes and I receive my commission, I personally make the Mission Moves donation.
You choose an organization that means something to you.
It might be an organization that supported someone you know, a cause connected to your family or service, or simply a mission you believe deserves support.
Organizations may include:
- The C4 Foundation — Supporting Navy SEAL families.
- Wounded Warrior Project — Providing programs and services for injured veterans.
- Semper Fi & America’s Fund — Supporting wounded, critically ill, and injured service members, veterans, and military families.
- K9s For Warriors — Pairing trained service dogs with veterans.
- Navy SEAL Foundation — Providing support to Naval Special Warfare service members, veterans, and their families.
These are examples. If another qualified military or veteran-focused 501(c)(3) organization is meaningful to you, it may also be considered for the Mission Moves donation.
You don't have to be a veteran or member of the military to be part of Mission Moves. The program applies to my closed transactions regardless of a client's military affiliation, profession, or background.
Why It Matters
San Diego is unique and special in a lot of ways, and I believe our connection to the military community is an important part of what makes this place what it is.
For generations, service members and their families have been part of our neighborhoods, our businesses, our schools, and our communities. Their presence has helped shape the character and identity of San Diego in a way that goes far beyond our military installations.
I think that's something worth appreciating and preserving.
The sacrifices made by service members and their families aren't always visible, and there are incredible organizations working behind the scenes to support them. Mission Moves is my way of showing my appreciation while helping those organizations continue that work.
I believe when you have an opportunity to give something back, you should.
For me, that means using a portion of what I earn from real estate to support a community that has contributed so much to San Diego and to our country.
You don't have to be military to be part of Mission Moves. Whether you're buying or selling a home, purchasing an investment property, or completing a commercial transaction, your business gives me an opportunity to give something back.

Mission Moves Program Terms & Disclosures
Mission Moves is a personal charitable giving commitment of Michael Oliva, REALTOR®, CA DRE #01758213. Michael is a licensed real estate salesperson with eXp Realty of Southern California, Inc.
Michael Oliva personally commits to donating an amount equal to 10% of the net commission he receives from each closed real estate transaction. For purposes of Mission Moves, “net commission” means the agent's earnings after applicable broker splits, transaction fees, referral fees, and other transaction-related costs have been deducted.
All Mission Moves donations are made personally by Michael Oliva after closing and from compensation received by him. Donations are not made, funded, or sponsored by eXp Realty or any affiliated brokerage, team, or entity.
Mission Moves donations are not offered to a client or any other party to the transaction as a rebate, credit, fee reduction, discount, financial inducement, or other consideration. The donation does not reduce the purchase price, provide a credit to a party, or alter the compensation terms separately agreed upon for real estate services.
Real estate commissions and compensation are negotiable and are established separately by written agreement.
Mission Moves applies to closed transactions regardless of a client's military affiliation, profession, or background.
Clients may suggest a qualified IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization supporting active-duty military members, veterans, or their families. All organizations are subject to verification of eligibility and good standing. If a selected organization does not meet program requirements or is otherwise determined to be unsuitable, the client may select another qualifying organization. Michael Oliva retains final discretion regarding donation recipients.
Organizations identified on this website or in Mission Moves marketing materials are provided as examples. Their inclusion does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or partnership with Michael Oliva, Mission Moves, ORE, or eXp Realty unless expressly stated otherwise.
Mission Moves is a voluntary charitable giving program funded personally by Michael Oliva. Program terms, eligible organizations, and donation procedures may be modified or discontinued at any time, subject to any commitments already made.
